Short overview of the organisation:

TECNALIA Research & Innovation is a private non-profit Foundation, at the forefront of research, technological development and innovation, which upholds a strong commitment to quality, efficient customer service, staff development and training.

TECNALIA, specialised in ICT and product development, is currently working in several technology areas: automotive products, ambient intelligence, connectivity, energy and electronics. TECNALIA Transport is the division taking part at AMITRAN and the main areas can be summarised into: HMI and driver environment mechatronics, human factors analysis, validation of ITS systems and applications (acceptability and usability tests), vehicle power-train modelling and simulation, preventive safety concepts and wireless communications. TECNALIA has taken part in more than 92 European projects, 28 of which remain on-going.

Role in Amitran:

TECNALIA was the leader of work package 6 (evaluation of impact assessment), and it was directly involved in the user needs and use cases analysis, analysis of impacts, definition of AMITRAN methodology framework and framework architecture, specification of AMITRAN models, and verification methodology for models.

Other projects (related to Amitran):

eCoMove: Running IP related to the development of applications for CO2 reduction. TECNALIA was responsible for the validation plan and participated in data acquisition, and in the evaluation data analysis.

COSMO: TECNALIA was the leader of validation WP and responsible for the pilot validation plan and the evaluation data analysis of the pilot cooperative tests, focusing on sustainable mobility.

smartCEM: TECNALIA has been responsible for the pilot validation plan and the evaluation data analysis of the pilot cooperative tests, focusing on sustainable mobility. The fleet carbon footprint assessment tool has also been responsibility of TECNALIA, together with the data analysis of the Gipuzkoa pilot site operation.

eValue: TECNALIA carried out the evaluation procedures for Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) within eValue. Validation activities were defined for different sensor and actuator technologies based on the validation pilot plan approved at the beginning of the project. TECNALIA carried out with Volvo the evaluation of the lateral ADAS systems.
